The Ideal Pram

When we had DS1 we initially bought a cheaper combination pushchair from mothercare. After just 5 weeks of using it (and going mad trying to steer the darn thing) I went out and spent £600 on a Quinny and all the accessories. It was a great pushchair and I would highly recommend it. It was great to push, turned really well, was easy to set up and you could use it from birth - 2 years of age. I only wish we had kept it for DS2 as it would have saved us buying another set..

This time around we went for a Cosatto All Star set, we have the car seat, Bassinet and pushchair attachment which all fit onto the same chassis. It is just as good as the Quinny was if not better (It has a much better turning circle and will turn on a dime). But where it did beat the Quinny 100% was on price. After buying the car seat we shaved £200 off the price of the Quinny.

Both are great looking prams and pushchairs and if I had both in front of me right now I would find it very difficult to choose between them. But if I had to choose I would go with the Cosatto because of its price and appearance. We have the All Star version which does turn heads in the street. It has a lovely red chassis and great star pattern fabric. I can't fault it!

In a nutshell:

Quinny: Strong, durable and very easy to manoeuvre. Folds down with one hand. Downside - it is quite bulky if you have a small car, thankfully I have an estate.
Cosatto: Strong, Durable, looks great, Very easy to manoeuvre, brilliant turning circle, can't beat it on price! Again also has a bulky chassis so not ideal for smaller car boots.

If you want to buy either of them they are available to buy on Amazon, which saves a few pennies at the very least:
